Aluminum squares of the D1 brand are made of a deformable duralumin alloy (duralumin). The chemical composition of alloy D1: aluminum (up to 95.5%), copper, magnesium and other impurities in small amounts. Application: D1 brand squares are used for the production of propeller blades in aircraft construction, large-sized structures in civil engineering, fasteners in mechanical engineering, and electronics.

Alloy D16 is a high–strength duralumin of the A1-Si–Md system. In terms of hardness and mechanical strength, it is not inferior to steel, having 3 times less specific gravity. However, the alloy has one main disadvantage — low corrosion resistance and requires special anti-corrosion protection.

The letter T in the marking indicates the state of the alloy - solid after quenching and natural aging. D16T alloy squares have high strength and corrosion resistance, which makes them suitable for use in construction, mechanical engineering, aviation and space industries.
